4 Pack Private Lesson Package - Lessons located at our facility in Brandywine, MD - $800
Training supplies are not included in the cost of private lesson packages. You will have the option of purchasing them through us or through separate online retailers. |
In these 4 sessions, we will observe/evaluate your dog and situation and then develop a comprehensive training program to help in the journey to achieving your goals regarding obedience and behavior.
This program covers any issues during walks (lunging, barking, pulling, etc.) and basic obedience commands (sit/stay, down/stay, place, recall). We will also address behavior problems, such as jumping up, mouthing, nipping, counter surfing, or any other issues you might be experiencing. Our unique approach to dog training is geared more towards a fundamental state-of-mind change than it is strictly rehearsed behaviors. In other words, we are much more concerned with creating a happy, healthy, balanced dog than creating a dog that simply knows a few obedience commands. You will begin to see dramatic changes in your dog’s behavior within this first session. There will be homework! It is of utmost importance that the training be worked on diligently between sessions, by the whole family. We want you to be as excited about your dog’s transformation as we are, and we need everyone involved and on-board! The initial 2-hour session is comprised of a consultation, assessment, and hands-on training with you and your dog. The next three sessions are 1 hour each, where we will continue to work hands-on with you and your dog on all of the needed behaviors. |

Do you want to get your young puppy started off on the right paw? If you have a puppy 8-16 weeks old, this 2 session puppy lesson package is for you! In these 2 sessions, you will either come to us or we will come to your home and go over all the Do's and Don'ts of raising a young pup.
The initial 2-hour session is comprised of a consultation with the owner where we review all the critical steps to take during the first few weeks your pup is home including housebreaking, socialization, and general manners. Many people choose to have this first session before they bring the puppy home so they can make sure they do all the right things from the very beginning. The follow-up 1.5 hour session is comprised of hands on training with you and your pup. We will show you how to raise a puppy that will happily come to you, walk nicely on a leash, stop unwanted nipping or chewing, and to be calm on command. |
For dogs with reactivity and rehabilitation needs, our rehabilitation focus is based on “Training Between the Ears” (TBTE) principles and training developed by our colleague, Mark McCabe. TBTE techniques primarily use reward and relaxation strategies to change the emotional state of dogs and help them moderate their own emotions. The techniques aim to build better relationships with your dog by removing conflict, develop your dog’s self-motivation through success seeking behaviors, and changing your dog’s perception of the surrounding world so they are emotionally more relaxed and stable, and therefore resilient to external stressors.
